A birthday is the perfect excuse to dig through old photos. Whether it's a first birthday, a 40th or your grandmother's 90th, a short story with music says more than a pile of pictures in a chat.
Two ideas that always work
The party recap. Use the photos from the day itself: decorations, the cake, the candles, everyone singing. Send it the next morning to everyone who came, and to those who couldn't.
The year (or the life) in photos. For milestone birthdays, pick one photo from each year or each big moment. Start with the oldest and finish with a recent one. It's the kind of thing people watch three times.
How to pick the photos
- Choose 5 to 30 photos. Around 20 is the sweet spot.
- Put faces first. Blurry candle shots are fine if the expressions are good.
- Include a few group photos so friends recognise themselves.
- Don't worry about the order: Photoryfy arranges the photos by date and story flow, and you can reorder them anyway.
Music
For a party, choose a happy or party mood. For a life-in-photos story, a nostalgic track works better. You can change the track or turn music off before you publish.
A note about Google Photos
Google Photos sometimes builds animated memories automatically, but it doesn't let you share them with their music, and you can't decide which photos appear. Photoryfy starts from the photos you pick in your Google Photos library and turns them into a story you can share with music, with one link.
Sharing
Publish, copy the link and drop it in the family group. It plays in any browser for 7 days, view-only. Want to keep it longer? Download the video and save it next to your photos.
